Our Faculty
From the outset the intention of the Enlightened Enterprise Academy has included the creation of the largest multi-disciplinary faculty of authorities covering a range of subjects far broader than is usually found in even the most well developed business schools.
By authorities we mean recognised experts in their area, including practitioners and “pracademics.” The term “pracademic” refers to academics who are interested in the practical application, and impact, of ideas in the real world.
Importantly, we also insist on our faculty being people who wish to work together in multi-disciplinary ways. We believe that the multi-disciplinary approach is essential if we are to stand any chance of addressing the 21st century challenges humanity is facing.
Given the nature of the way most universities are structured, in faculty siloes, multi-disciplinary collaborations are rare. We believe this means universities are going to be unable to help us address our challenges effectively.
We did not expect that the first programmes we developed would be with a professor from Harvard University and the former Dean of a leading UK Business School. But Donna Hicks and Michael C Jackson were indeed the first two collaborators.
With Donna we created a “Leading With Dignity” programme for executives, based on her book of that name.
With Mike Jackson we created a Critical Systems Thinking and the Management of Complexity programme, based on his book of that name.
We hope that Donna and Mike will want to be part of the Faculty that we are now forming. Both teach, but both are even more keen to make an impact in the real world.
Andy Wilkins, Founder of Future of Health (pictured in the first image in this post), also exemplifies the kind of faculty member we are looking for. He has worked as a consultant, an advisor to think tanks, and a keynote presenter at industry conferences. More recently he then became Programme Director of the “Leading Systems Innovation in Healthcare” programme at Imperial College Business School London. And became a Visiting Lecturer at University College London.
Any member of the Enlightened Enterprise Academy can apply to be a member of the Faculty at no additional cost.
